How Not to Be Seen

Hito Steyerl’s satirical video project speaks on the ways that surveillance in the digital age has encroached on our ability to be invisible or to disappear. This work is a mix of performance and video inspired by instructional films. It is also site specific by filming in spaces that were formerly spaces where surveillance was centered, now they are not used for that purpose because more advanced techniques are in place.
