After any project, it’s helpful to do a written reflection of your process, progress, and any feedback you recieved, or summarizing things you observed. It’s helpful to do this both in regards to the work itslef, and to reflect on your own way of working.
//Recommended Format & Materials
Include:
Summary/documentation: What is your project? What does it enable?
Documentation can and should involve lots of process photos/sketches, pivots, iterations, aha moments, etc!
Trail of your research or relevant pieces and links in case someone wants to dig deeper into your journey (this should involve pulling from other blog posts and research you’ve already done and written about)
A bibliography (references, articles, related artworks etc)
Write about the following in your reflection:
What did you learn?
What feedback did you receive? Any reflections on critique itself?
What might you do differently in terms of process or content?
What was inspiring?
Revisit the assignment prompts: how did your project relate to the original prompts, in terms of critical lens, audience, tone, etc…
How did you balance research and experimentation? Which is easier for you? How can you focus more on the areas that you shy away from?
